Lots of companies claim to be dedicated to their clients. But how many of them actually go above and beyond the call of duty to show it?
When you step off of the elevator at Zimmerman, there’s a quote from me on a sign that says, “Relentlessly pursue the client’s goal, but never rest in the glory.” That’s more than a motto for us – it’s something we live and breathe every single day. So when we learned that one of our clients, White Castle, was going to be in the office the Friday before Halloween, we knew we had to do something special. And that’s just what we did. We added a twist to the agency’s traditional Halloween festivities by inviting associates to make their own costumes…out of White Castle slider boxes!
Individuals and entire departments from across the agency participated in the contest. The Grand Prize – which went to Kevin Jorgensen for his White Castle Dragon costume – was a three day/two night trip for two to any White Castle city, complete with a VIP tour of a local White Castle location.
In addition, we also held a “Create Your Own Slider” contest that received 103 entries for specialty sliders. The winner – Vincent Booth – will have the opportunity to work with White Castle’s product development team to have his winning slider featured on the White Castle menu.
What a great day!! The client had a blast, everyone at the agency had a blast, and I personally had a blast as a judge. A big ‘thank you’ to my fellow judges, all the way from White Castle’s corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio: Lynn Blashford, Director of Marketing; Tamara Kruger, Brand Manager; and Steve Zvonek, Brand Manager.
This is the kind of thing that shows real dedication and a genuine passion for clients. This is the kind of thing that will ensure that an already fantastic partnership with White Castle will only get better with time. This is the kind of thing that more companies out there should be doing with their clients.
