The People's Party

If the American people are tired of ‘business as usual’ in Washington, they’re definitely tired of Republicans and Democrats.

The two-party system in this country was supposed to be a good thing. It was supposed to encourage political parties to find common positions that would appeal to large sections of the electorate. Instead, the parties in our two-party system have gotten too strong over the years. And more importantly, they’ve lost direction. They’ve lost sight of the real issues and are consumed with towing the party line. Most politicians today – especially career politicians – don’t care about what the people want. They’re only concerned about pleasing their party and getting re-elected. The two-party system in this country is broken.
