Here’s the problem: lots of people misunderstand the meaning of ‘hard work.’ They don’t focus on the right things, and they lose their balance, which can lead to disaster. Working hard also means working smart. It means making wise decisions about what to do, how to do it, who to delegate to, and how to manage your time. Some people might think this sounds like taking the easy way out, like being lazy. But those people are wrong. It is possible to have tremendous, unheard of success AND have a balanced life.

My daughter graduated from eighth grade last week. Aside from the fact that I can’t believe she’s already old enough to be starting high school, it got me thinking about the importance of education. You might be thinking, “Yeah, whatever. It’s easy for this guy to talk about how important education is now that he’s made it big.” But I will tell you – I had to learn the hard way.

You can accomplish anything you set your mind out to do. I speak to hundreds of students at various universities. My goal is to make them believe that anything is possible.

[...] you have to work until you are the very best at what you’re doing. I haven’t gotten to be as successful as I am today because I’m the smartest at what I do. I’ve gotten here because I work the hardest. I never stop. I don’t give up until I’m the best.
